The New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Championships is New Zealand’s premier event in figure skating and is aimed at finding New Zealand’s champions and identifying talent to lead the future of the sport. This year Centaurus Ice Skating Club is hosting the event at Alpine Ice Sports Centre in Christchurch from 17th -20th October 2024.

The event is open to all skaters who have reached a particular skill level, the Juvenile grade and above, and who have achieved a minimum technical score at their level at the seasonal competitions leading up to the Championships. This means you will be watching up and coming talent as well as those already competing internationally at a senior level. It also features pairs skating, ice dance, synchronised skating teams, and adult events.

Tickets are $5 per person, or $10 per family, and are available at the door on each day of the competition. Simply review the schedule, decide which events you want to watch, and turn up on the day.
